This client was experiencing significant upper back and neck pain.  His symptoms were increased with prolonged sitting which was a requirement of his workday.  Over the course of 4 months, his symptoms were abolished, tolerance to sitting improved and his posture improved dramatically.


This client experienced back pain for many years. He was treated with medication, injections and other conservative measures such as physical therapy and massage therapy. While he would receive some temporary relief, his symptoms always returned. Over the course of years, he began to use a cane and walk with a shuffle due to the lack of balance and severity of pain. His initial exercise routine was performed in sitting and standing because he could not get up and down from the floor. Gradually as the dysfunctions in his body began to unlock, the freedom of movement that was restored allowed him to get up and down from the floor independently and eventually walk without his cane. His function and quality of life continue to improve as he makes the consistent changes in his alignment and mobility due to the Egoscue technique.


This client experienced back pain for over 30 years. Over the years she also had several joint replacements. While she experienced relief from these specific joints, her back pain persisted. An analogy to her joint replacement is replacing a tire on your car. Most of us would NEVER replace a tire without getting an alignment. This client replaced the joint but alignment was never addressed and her back pain persisted. With traditional and conservative methods she was able to get temporary relief but the back pain always returned and left her dependent on others. Over the course of 4 months at Pain Free Performance, with a session every 2 weeks, she performed a series of exercises designed for her using the Egoscue technique. She is now symptom free with increased tolerance for daily activities including gardening. Her body made changes from the daily menu of positions and exercises performed and as a result she does not have to remind herself to “stand up straight”. Her body is now able to find a new balance point as alignment and symmetry is being restored.
